Ethiopian Community Development Council banquet / Cheick Hamala's Griot Street Band

Some images from the 30th Anniversary Banquet for ECDC,  the Ethiopian Community Development Council. It was a celebration of the three decades of their effective work on behalf of African and other immigrants in our community and nationwide.

Local ABC news co-anchor Maureen Bunyan served as mistress of ceremonies, and the speakers included founder Dr. Tsehaye Teferra, and acclaimed Ethiopian-American author Dinaw Mengistu.

The music was provided by Malian ngoni master Cheick Hamala's Griot Street Band.
